Built to the same standard as sites I deliver for real clients.

Sample sites built to show how I turn a real business problem into a design that works. Not client projects: concepts that demonstrate range across different industries.

Field & Loom

Clothing

Clothes sell on the photographs, so there is barely a sentence in the way of them. Five collections, product pages with a size run and a bag that keeps count, and the shop on Harbour Street given a section of its own. Quiet type, and no colour but what is in the pictures. (opens in new tab)

Millbrook Therapy

Wellness

People landing here are usually anxious. Everything's pitched to settle them: plenty of space, soft sage, an easy way to send that first message without overthinking it. She writes the blog herself, which keeps the place ticking over between enquiries. (opens in new tab)

Riverbank Dental

Dental

Most people picking a dentist are a bit anxious and shopping on trust. Everything here is pitched to settle them: a calm first impression, fees with no surprises, and a chatbot that answers the four questions the receptionist gets all day without anyone having to ring up. (opens in new tab)

Fernwood

Retail

A garden centre's whole offer turns over twelve times a year, so the site is an almanac: the home page is whichever month it is, and each of the twelve has a page of its own with what's in flower and what to do about it. The nursery team write it, dated and bylined, which is what updating your own site actually looks like. (opens in new tab)

Form

Fitness

Charge premium rates and you'd better look the part, or people walk. Form Studio keeps it quiet: restrained type, deep green, a bit of gold. The timetable and trainers sit up front, because the first visit is the one that's hard to get. (opens in new tab)

Rooted

Restaurant

Half the decision to eat somewhere is made before you walk in. Rooted leans into that: dark, cinematic, a menu that reads like it was printed. Booking a table takes a few taps, not a phone call that rings out at 7pm. (opens in new tab)

Swift Plumbing & Heating

Trades

Nobody shops around when their boiler's leaking, and the one thing they want before they ring is a number. So the quote calculator is the first thing on the page, the full price book is the second, and the rest is a job log with what each one actually cost. No hero, no stock photography, just the prices. Wren & Vine

Florist

Half a florist's orders are someone in a hurry. This one takes the order the whole way: pick a bunch, a size, a card message and a delivery date, then pay by card. Warm and a bit gardeny, with weddings tucked off to one side. (opens in new tab)

Meridian Works

Workspace

An empty desk earns nothing, and a photograph of a breakout area sells none of them. This one opens on a live floor plan: click any desk, office or meeting room to see what it costs and whether it's free right now. Members sign in behind it for room bookings, invoices and the door code. (opens in new tab)
